Bottled July 2017. What that tells you is this wine was generously aged in fine French oak for 22 months. A blend of merlot, syrah and cabernet franc. Soft and elegant with a rainbow of assorted red and blue fruit accents. Drinking well now, but with the capability of evolving at least ten more years.
A Proprietor's Favorite. The fruit was grown under perfect conditions. Generously "fruit forward" from the 58% syrah, but beautifully rich, well-delineated and structured thanks to the addition of merlot and cabernet franc. We like it with just an edge of a cellar chill on it to guzzle with a helping of spicy barbeque. Harmoniously pure. If you haven't tried it yet, you must!
A youthful, exuberant blend of almost equal parts syrah and merlot. Lots of rich berry essence from the syrah--a solid backbone for aging from the merlot. Likely a 15 year effort. This is a wine to put away for two or three years and consume over the following 10 years, if you can wait!
